I want to be a Molet

upcycle your city April 2016 Tel Aviv, Israel

Some Background? Lag Ba’Omer (n.): a Jewish holiday traditionally celebrated with bonfires for children as well as adults. Fun as they are, bonfires are also very bad for the environment, and a colossal waste of perfectly good pallets!

The Challenge? Whoever saves a pallet…

What did we do? In 2016 we decided to go on a campaign to save the pallets: rather than burn them, we thought, why not modulate them? Since children collect wood for burning all over town, we placed colorful pallets with our messages in various locations, inviting passersby to a special workshop in which we modulated those same pallets.
