Molet House – Design Terminal

architecture & design May 2021 Bat Yam, Israel

Located in Bat Yam’s industrial area, the “Design Terminal” was founded by  “Outbox” NGO.

Built in a historic building that had stood abandoned for years, this complex symbolizes the renewal of Bat Yam.

In the space, you will find the “Hamama” – a promising young designer excelerator; the “Yard” and the “Orange heart”, rehabilitation facilities for mentally handicapped people.

After five years of developing in Jaffa, we moved into our new home in the Design Terminal.

We are located in the gallery of the complex, in an area measuring 200 square meters that withholds 3 main areas divided into – the studio office, meeting space, and workshop.

Our design process was led by the sloping ceiling, which reminded us of a kid’s tree house. With a little humor, we wanted to create a space that was homely, inspiring, and creative.

Between the spaces, we created a game of windows that allows the staff, workshop participants, and studio visitors to connect and communicate.

We invite you to visit us at the MOLET House!
