Cafe Migdalor

architecture & design January 2022 Tel Aviv, Israel

The Migdalor cafe ( Hebrew for lighthouse) in the north of the Tel Aviv port is located inside a historic building – the first lighthouse in Tel Aviv built in the 1930s.

In the atmosphere of the open air and the sea breeze, Migdalor chose furniture that blends in with naturally, ecologica and modular, that will be comfortable, stylish and useful.

It was important for the owners of the place that the seating will be free, that everyone could choose where to sit, individually or together.

For this, we designed the Cube stools, with a handle, that are easy to grab, move, sit on or use as a table.

We also created shelving units for the takeaway area, round coffee tables and bars continuing the building windows.

Next time you are in the Tel Aviv port, grab a stool at the Migdalor, in front of the sunset, beer or coffee – this is already your choice 🙂

To create the furniture we used 74 pallets collected from around the city, and thus we, together with Migdalor prevented the felling of 5.5 trees.
