Pashut Gan – Shikun Dan
At the first Tel Avivian branch of “Pashut Gan”, we turned an urban and industrial space overlooking a busy intersection in the city center into a happy, colorful and lively place. This time, the second Tel Avivian branch was established in a ground-level building, in the heart of a green and peaceful Tel Avivian residential neighborhood.
Designing and planning for kids is one of the things we most connect with. This is an ideal way for us to convey to children the values that the kindergarten staff and we believe in – sustainability, environmental awareness, curiosity and endless imagination.
We designed and created a whole world of games, modular shelves, tables, benches, a fully equipped kitchen for children and a huge playhouse where everything is adapted to the height of the children’s eyes. The empty building we were given became a pleasant place to hang out, encouraging imagination, play and creativity.
In the design of the kindergarten we used 71 old pallets, which are almost 1,000 running meters of quality pine wood.
The use of pallets saved the felling of 6, 20-year-old pine trees!
