‘Salon in the Museum’ – exhibition

architecture & design June 2023 Ramat Gan museum

When curator ‘Shiri Golan’ invited us to provide 62 furniture pieces for an exhibition titled “Art, Space, Discourse,” it was clear to us that they would serve a purpose beyond mere decoration in the space.

Within the framework of the exhibition, the museum explores its possible relationships with the artistic, cultural, and social spheres, as well as the points of intersection among them. The project aims to signify the museum’s perception of the connection between its role as an artistic-cultural space and its role as a social space in contemporary Israel.

The wooden furniture pieces we created were placed in the exhibition space as “salon-like” seating areas, inviting and facilitating the creation of connections among people and open discourse about the exhibition and beyond.
